Mountain bike trails abound in this farming district and we are developing routes for all abilities and levels of fitness.
Our MTB trails offer spectacular views, combining climbs, flats and descents with river crossings, gorges and open farmland. The terrain is varied and can be tailored to your preferences including single track, jeep track, technical sections and hundreds of kilometres of safe, quiet district roads. Our exciting 3-day Off-Rhodes Mountain Bike tour has recently been launched . Expect breathtaking passes, scenic farm tracks and thrilling descents amid sandstone rock formations, crystal clean rivers and wild mountain territory. This is as close as one gets to 'Drakensberg Cycling', with the luxury of daily vehicle support, comfy lodgings, experienced guides and sumptuous meals to look forward to. A paddle down the Kraai on our final day, provides a fitting end to this unique mountain bike tour. We have mountain bikes for hire for those who want to cycle the quiet gravel roads and our set trails. These are entry level bikes, so MTB enthusiasts who want to try some of our extreme mountain descents should bring their own equipment (we offer discounted tours on the High 5 Multi-Sports Adventure Trail for those using their own bikes). |

For the more competitive, why not try the Wartrail 2-Day MTB Challenge held in December. The Garmin Wartrail Tri -Challenge, Wartrail Mini-Triathlon and the Rhodes Mountain Bike Challenge are other organized MTB competitions in the Eastern Cape Drakensberg. |
