"CROCS ROCK" NOVICE ADVENTURE RACE
MOSHESESFORD - BETWEEN BARKLY EAST & RHODES
26TH-28TH FEBRUARY 2010

Novice adventure race with options to suit all levels of fitness and ages.

 MTB event eastern cape

DAY 1 - MTB TRAIL: 20km and 40km options
40km:  From the Orpen Memorial Hall to Donkerhoek via Eliasdale and Aartappelhoogte back to the club.

20km: To Aartappelhoogte  and back

 mountain hiking trail

DAY 2 - HIKING TRAIL - 26km and 10km options
This is a self-guided trail and basic map reading/ orienteering skills are required.

You are welcome to join locals for a game of tennis at the club on Saturday afternoon
 crocs rock race DAYS 2 & 3 - RIVER RAFTING RACE
Both days on crocodile inflatable boats from Mosheshesford to Riverside . Flat water with easy rapids.

  • You may enter for any one or more days
  • Short cycle (20km) and mountain trail (10km) are suitable for juniors
  • There are a limited number of boats available for those who do not have their own. Please enter early to reserve your boat.

BOAT HIRE                 R80 per person.

Boat hire includes lifejacket, helmet, paddle and pump

There are free T-Shirts for the first 30 pre-entries taking part in the full race (3 days)

 
 MEALS Three meals will be served: Fri pm, Sat pm and Sunday midday. R40 per meal.

  • Steepside Camp Site/Caravan Park - This is the starting point of the mountain trail.
  • Orpen Memorial Hall - On the premises inside or outside the hall.
