LADY GREY PASSION PLAY A cast of 132 speaking characters as well as a chorus, choir, troupe of dancers and live visual artists, and is presented over a period of three days during the Easter Weekend. Parts of the play are staged around the town: in the streets, at the scenic Lady Grey dam and at the historic NG Kerk.

RHODES TRAIL RUN The Rhodes Run, South Africa's coldest premier trail race is staged in the tranquil beauty of the Eastern Cape Drakensberg mountains surrounding the Victorian-era hamlet of Rhodes. This event is limited to 300 runners and is often held in sub-zero temperatures with snow on the 52km route.

RHODES EXTREME MTB STAGE RACE The Rhodes Extreme (formerly the Rhodes Challenge) is an extreme multi-day high-altitude team MTB stage race based on a 'clover leaf' out of Rhodes Village in the Eastern Cape Drakensberg Highlands. Surrounded by crystalline rivers and magnificent mountains, the three-stage race takes place over two days on the September Heritage Day long weekend and is the ideal getaway for avid mountain bikers and outdoorsmen seeking alpine adventure.
