FRIDAY After a farmhouse breakfast we will transport you to the source of the Kraai at Moshesh's Ford. After a familiarisation session we will take a short paddle downstream to get everybody accustomed to our two-man inflatable river rafts. This is a gentle, but extremely scenic stretch of the river, lined with willow trees and stunning rock formations.
During our picnic lunch stop there will be plenty of time to swim, take photos and observe the wonderful gorge views. Tonight you have the exciting option of camping at the Holkrans on Drumbo - a wonderful sandstone cave which will give you the unique experience of sleeping out under the stars for the night whilst protected from the elements. We will sleep around a fire and enjoy a hearty bush-braai. Alternatively we can transport you back to Rosstrevor. |

SATURDAY
After breakfast, our river rafting trail will continue from our camp site at the Holkrans at Drumbo and continue down the Kraai. At the halfway point we will leave the river for a hiking trail to a stunning cave to view over 90 rock art paintings in pristine condition.
Back on the Kraai, we will continue on to Holbrook. This section combines some exciting rapids with flatter sections where you can enjoy the scenic gorge views and bird life. The whole day will consist of approx 4 hours on the water, so there will still be plenty of time to stretch your legs and take photographs. We will transport you back to Rosstrevor for a well-earned dinner and good night's sleep! The following morning your hosts will cook your a hearty breakfast ahead of your onward travels. |

This includes 2 x River Rafting Trail Days @ R675 per day plus
accommodation and dinner on arrival day and breakfast before departure.

The ideal time to book a paddling trip in the Eastern Cape Drakensberg is during our balmy summers, when the water is flowing well and is warm enough for a swim. Our next planned river rafting trails can be found on our Adventure Trails and Events Calendar, however if other dates suit you better then give us a call and we will try to accommodate your requirements. |
